1. About the service
Math Duel, operated by Math Duel, provides online maths questions, solo practice and two-player challenges. Using the service means accepting these Terms and reviewing the Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to review these Terms with you.
2. Your account
Provide accurate account details and keep your password and account access private. You are responsible for activity through your account. You can sign in using email/password or, if available, Google sign-in. Do not attempt to access someone else's account or share private answer-log links.
3. Fair use
Use Math Duel for lawful mathematical learning and competition. Do not interfere with the website, exploit it to inflate scores, use automated tools to overload it, bypass access controls, or harass other players. The operator may restrict access when needed to protect the service.
4. AI-generated questions and marking
Math Duel uses AI to create questions, estimate their difficulty and mark submitted work. AI responses may contain errors, and in-game ELO is an estimate rather than a validated academic assessment. Do not rely on the service as the sole authority for academic, professional or other important decisions. Generated questions may occasionally be unavailable due to provider outages or API limits.
5. Answers and other submissions
You retain responsibility for the answers you submit. By entering a solution, you allow Math Duel to process it for marking, feedback, in-game ratings and answer logs, and to transmit relevant content to its AI service provider as explained in the Privacy Policy. Avoid sending sensitive information or material you do not have permission to share.
6. Availability and changes
Math Duel is provided as an evolving project. Features, difficulty ratings, ELO calculations and availability may change. Active matches may be interrupted by server restarts or connectivity problems. No uninterrupted service or perfectly correct AI marking is promised.
7. Liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the operator does not accept responsibility for ordinary losses arising from temporary interruptions, inaccurate questions or marking errors. Nothing here removes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded, including those relating to fraud, negligence causing injury, or statutory consumer rights where applicable.
8. Contact and changes
Questions about these Terms can be sent to ottobartlettdavis1@gmail.com. These Terms may be revised as the service develops. Continued use after a change may be subject to the revised Terms, as permitted by applicable law.
