What is Math Duel?
Math Duel is an independent educational web app where you solve dynamically generated maths problems. You can practise by yourself or challenge a friend in a real-time, two-player duel.
The questions are generated with AI, and written solutions are evaluated with AI. The service aims to reward mathematical reasoning, not just speed.
How the game works
- Solo practice: an unlimited sequence of new questions, with feedback and a personal ELO rating.
- 1v1 duels: both players work through the same sequence of problems; the first to reach ten correct answers wins.
- Question difficulty: questions are targeted around your current ELO, or the average rating of two duel players. An AI estimates each problem's difficulty.
- Accounts: sign in with an email/password or use Google sign-in, when enabled.
How trustworthy is the rating?
Math Duel's difficulty estimates and grading are generated by AI, so they can be wrong. ELO is an in-game progress indicator, not an official examination score, IQ measure or independently validated ranking. If feedback looks incorrect, check the reasoning carefully.
